Helen is currently in Central Africa on a reconciliation mission trip with Dr. Arthur Rouner, his wife Molly, and a veteran
reconciler Ms. Theresa Shatzer. She is sending occasional emails to me (Peter) and I have been forwarding them to family
and friends. However, the list of interested friends is long. Therefore, to make distribution of her notes more efficient, I have
added this special page to her website that contains their itinerary and Helen’s emails as I receive them. Please keep them
in your prayers as they travel this rugged country and check back here for her periodic updates.
Helen’s Africa Travelogue
Molly, Theresa, and Arthur
Feb 7 - Hi Sweet - thought I would find an email from you today. It was a good day in Burundi, 15
pastors in attendance with our Burundi-Team of Ambassador Artemon, Suzanne, Andre, and Mary.
We met in a new Retreat house because the rent was raised at the place where they have held
retreats for years, and this new place is even nicer! Young Ferdanand is here again for a second
retreat. He is especially wounded. Paul Ndahigwa said it took him three retreats to get it.
Hot day today, so ready for a shower. Tomorrow is the second day of Retreat and the longest, so I
may not have the chance to email. Okay, it is getting scary how I am typing with the new key
placement quite well without looking at the keys.
We are really having a blessed time - I am taking many notes so I can share with you. We still have
some more days of work to do, but my heart is beginning to ache to be home with you. The computer
is beginning to act funny so I am going to say good night; Love you Love you Love you; Me
